Live from the stage/my workspace
caroline korthals
At a young age, art and creativity became my passions. I spent many hours in painting and drawing classes, summer camp craft rooms, and eyes glued to the TV learning how to whip up a French omelet from Julia Child or how to restore a New England classic on This Old House. I’ve continued to create— throwing pottery, painting and drawing, knitting and stitching, cooking, or photography (check out spaces & places), and it came as no surprise that I built my career in user experience design.
I have ten + years of experience working with clients in financial services (banking and wealth management), telecommunications, education, health and human services, and healthcare. I bring my expertise in user experience design and design strategy to each engagement, working closely with clients to build user-centric solutions. With my deep knowledge and experience in Enterprise Design Thinking, I believe the best work is achieved through multidisciplinary teams, empathy for the user, and constant iteration and user input.
Over the past two years, I have worked in wealth management to design an enterprise-wide strategy that restructures the presentation of client offerings as relationship-level services. This strategy includes a new branch experience through updated offering materials and support, as well as a new client offering designed to meet client needs and enhance financial advisor capacity.
I’m looking forward to my next opportunity that allows me to bring my toolbox of skills to the table, enables me to drive user-centric design in all phases of the work, and solve complex human problems.
